I am a dynamic EU consultant – International Relations and European Union, graduated at Izmir University of Economy with EMBA (Dokuz Eylul University) , with 10 years experience in this sector, in various European Union projects and strategic reports, research and development projects, political reports, public projects finance by the government and European Commission. I have been experienced to work some institution in the country such as European Union Under-Secretariat of foreign trade, Governorship, General Coordination Office of Foreign Relations, International Relations Office Coordinator in Izmir Katip Celebi University. Since I graduated from the University of Izmir Economy, I have worked as a European Union expert. I have a passion for my job.
I have Professional knowledge of Piano and have been playing piano for 30 years. Having successfully passed the UK Royal Academy Examination held by Maria Rita Epic Music School was entitled to receive a certificate. Sport holds an important place in my life. Sport that I am interested in: Tennis, Swimming, Squash, Tae box, Yoga, Power Plate, Plates, Fitness and Surf. I was interested in Painting Art at Leonardo Art Gallery and I have various honourable mentions. I received Tourism French, Speaking and DELF Training at French Cultural. I have Professional knowledge of Photography. 01.06.2012 I had a photograph exhibition in Goethe Institute Izmir. Art is also important party of my life and educated the course of History of Art in the University of Mimar Sinan (MSGSU). I combine the classical music with electronic music on producing and performing dj performance.
Professor S.Haluk GUNUGUR, EU and FOREIGN AFFAIRS STRATEGIST
Prof. Dr. S. HALUK GÜNUĞUR was born in Ankara. After graduating from Ankara Faculty of Law, he completed his legal internship and registered with the Ankara Bar Association and worked as a lawyer for a while. Then, he completed his master’s thesis at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at Aix-Marseilles University in France, first on “The Status of Partnership in the European Economic Community”, as it was then known, and then on “Turkey’s Partnership in the Enlarged European Community”. He completed his doctorate. During the same period, he worked first as an intern at the EC Commission in Brussels and then as an expert at the “General Directorate of the Customs Union”. After returning to Turkey, he passed the entrance exam with first place and entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a “Legal Advisor”. He represented Turkey as a delegate in many international meetings. In 1984, he started his academic career as a lecturer at Gazi University, Department of International Relations. He became Associate Professor in 1987 and Professor in 1993. He also served as Presidential EU Special Advisor and Deputy Secretary General for Foreign Affairs at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the highest-level legal organization of the Turkish private sector, for 3 years. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Foundation for six years. Gazi University International Relations Department Head, Izmir University of Economics Founding Rector, EU and International Relations Founding Department Head, Başkent University Faculty of Law, Bilkent University, Cyprus Near-East University, Girne American University, Lefke European University faculty member and Gedik University Faculty of Law faculty member. Member of Prof. Dr. Haluk Günuğur taught undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level courses on “European Integration and EU Law” as a guest lecturer at Washington Georgetown University in the USA, Strasbourg Robert Schuman University in France and Luxembourg University in Luxembourg.
Prof. Dr. Haluk Günuğur served as a Turkish Arbitrator for 6 years at the “International Arbitration Court for the Settlement of Problems Arising from Investments”, headquartered in Washington DC. He was the Chairman of the Turkey-European Union Association, the most widely attended NGO in Turkey regarding the EU, for 19 years. He is currently the “Honorary President” of this Association and the President of the Turkish National Council of the International European Movement. Günuğur, who speaks French and English, has 24 books and over 100 scientific articles published on the European Union and Turkey-EU relations.
